XR Women Code of Conduct
The XR Women mission is empowering women in XR by providing a platform for learning, connection, and success.
The Code of Conduct below outlines our expectation of behavior at XR Women events and on our social and communications platforms as we strive to ensure a positive experience and to create a climate of human dignity and respect for all.
Some spaces in XR Women are governed by those who lease, own, or operate them, and they may have additional guidelines for behavior within those spaces that must be followed.
We reserve the right to remove any posts or content that we feel violates this Code of Conduct and we may restrict or remove anyone from XR Women events or platforms who does not abide by this Code of Conduct.
Prohibited Activities
Intolerance
Everyone deserves respect, regardless of their country of origin, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or religion. XR Women will not accept derogatory, defamatory, marginalizing, or hateful speech, images, or behavior toward another person. You may share this space with others who come from a different culture than you do; please be respectful of cultural sensitivities.
Harassment & Assault
Non-consensual sexual content or behavior, including forms of sexual assault, are strictly prohibited.
Bullying, abuse, stalking, persistent annoyance, personal attacks, and threats are not permitted.
While in XR Women, take care not to encroach upon the personal space of other avatars and to respect their comfort zones.
Illegal Activities
Prohibited Illegal Activities include:
Promoting or coordinating acts of physical harm, such as sexual or physical assault, or suicide or self-harm.
Any form of non-consensual intimate activity, including sharing intimate images of others without consent.
Violating intellectual property rights, such as improperly using copyrighted or trademarked materials.
Unlawfully selling, exchanging, or promoting regulated goods.
Promoting criminal activity, terrorism, violations of Human Rights, or animal cruelty.
Promoting illegal drug use.
Inappropriate Content
Content condoning or promoting violence, illegal weapons, human exploitation, human trafficking, human smuggling terrorism, hate-based organizations, or criminal groups will not be tolerated in XR Women.
Sexually explicit content, real or animated, is not permitted.
Do not promote physical harm, including self-harm, assault, or suicide.
Spamming or objects that interfere with the normal operation of XR Women will not be tolerated.
Do not share personal information about others without their explicit consent.
Deception, including Impersonation
Do not engage in deceptive activities, scams, or fraudulent behavior, including pretending to be another person or misrepresenting yourself.
Promoting or coordinating misinformation that would cause harm to an individual or business will not be tolerated.
These guidelines will be revised as needed.
