In this hands-on workshop, you'll build an interactive XR experience using GroKit Core, an AI-powered toolkit designed to accelerate immersive development in Unity. We'll guide you through the essentials—from setting up your XR rig to implementing interactions by building a simple game.
Our goal? To make even the most intricate XR interactions feel intuitive and achievable, so you can streamline prototyping, optimize workflows, and focus on innovation instead of wrestling with technical barriers.
What should I bring: See the Ultimate Checklist for a Smooth Start for requirements.
Build a Simple Game:
Create a collection game that requires gathering and sorting items into the correct bins. Choose your own idea or pick from our examples ideas:
Museum Exhibit Curator 🏛️
Players receive historical artifacts and must place them in the correct exhibit locations while avoiding fakes or misplaced items.
Dragon Hatchery 🐲
Collect and sort dragon eggs by element type (fire, ice, electric) before they hatch, ensuring they are in the correct environment.
By the end of this session, you’ll have a working XR prototype, a deeper understanding of GroKit Core’s powerful systems, and the confidence to tackle more ambitious projects with ease.
What You’ll Learn:
✅ Set Up Your XR Player – Establish the foundation for your interactive experience.
✅ Master Trigger Interactions – Create a lock-and-key style interaction using Triggers and Item IDs.
✅ Enhance with Polish – Implement DoMovement, DoParent, FX Spawner, and other key effects.
✅ Explore itemID – Implement a sorting puzzle to manage item interactions.
✅ Use Spawners & Timers – Build an inspection line mechanic for dynamic item interactions.
✅ Optional AI Enhancements - (requires AI keys)
Add AI text-to-voice narration for immersive guidance. Implement an AI follower to coach and assist players.
Add AI image generation.
Ready to hit the ground running? Let’s build something amazing!
